Our Team
Annika
With a background in Graphic Design and Marketing, Annika brings a passion for colour to a new medium in her indy yarn dyeing company, and now to our team! When she's not busy playing in the dye pots she's spreading the love of fibre to others by teaching them how to make their own special yarns. A seasoned show hand, she's been behind the scenes of many a booth and knows how to make things go as smoothly as possible from both sides of the curtain.
When not knitting, dying, or teaching, you can find Annika geeking out. Whether it be on photography, unicorn colors, trivia night, dark Sci-Fi shows and superhero movies, guaranteed it's always creative and off the wall.
Elizabeth
Passion, creativity and the local fibre community inspired Elizabeth to start her own business and open a local yarn shop that is a knitting haven for all fibre lovers! Elizabeth was a longtime knitting teacher, designer, and festival attendee, and she used her experience, passion and drive to enhance the Fibre Spirit Team. Her knowledge of both the fibre industry and the local community made Elizabeth a valuable asset.
Elizabeth ate, slept and breathed this medium - she always had multiple projects on the go and is constantly designing and creating. Elizabeth was never without her knitting needles, whether at a campsite, a wedding, or even when travelling abroad!
Andrea
Andrea brings a unique and creative voice to the Fibre Spirit Team with a background in Environmental Program Management and years of experience as a Communications Coordinator for small businesses.
Andrea manages the Fibre Spirit social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook & Twitter), as well as Vendor Communications, and Promotion and Outreach for the Festival. Andrea is also the creator behind Pine & Purl and loves making fun and cheeky accessories for knitters and fibre-lovers.
In her spare time, Andrea loves cooking, baking, and knitting, as well as spending time outdoors with her family either birding, hiking, or camping.
Jess
Jess rounds out the team with an odd perspective. Coffee!
Inspired by her mom's passion, Jess joined the team for organizing before and on the day, creating forms, invoices, and analyzing functionality aspects of the show.
Although very creative my nature, it's a talent she doesn't own up it often.
