Pretty String is small batch hand dyed yarn company based in Ottawa, Ontario with a variety of different bases (Fingering, DK and worsted) and varying fibers (Merino, Merino/Nylon, Silk, Yak, Cashmere and Alpaca). We have a mixture of tonals and variegated, often with pops of fun colour.

Fibre Spirit Festival celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship found throughout Canada’s fibre arts community. From indie hand-dyed yarns to locally produced wool and fibre tools, the festival highlights the incredible work of Canadian makers.

Visitors can explore a vibrant marketplace, meet fibre artists, take workshops, and discover new techniques in knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, and needle felting. Whether you are an experienced fibre artist or simply curious about the world of yarn and fibre, Fibre Spirit offers a welcoming place to learn, shop, and connect.

Held in Barrie, Ontario, Fibre Spirit has grown into a favourite gathering for fibre enthusiasts across the region.
